The Hospice is
situated in the quiet calm of Bostall Woods, Abbey Wood, in
South East London. It is available to residents of the London
Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley who need respite, symptom
control or specialist palliative care, and for those who are
suffering with a life limiting illness. Click
Here for a brief
tour of the Hospice.
There
is often a common misconception that a hospice exists to care
for the dying. In fact we would like everyone to understand
that the therapies and care which we provide help our patients
live to their full potential. A stay in the Hospice
or regular visits to our day centre, clinics and counseling
support can bring about a whole new improvement to the quality
of life. Click
Here to experience 'Happy Monday' at the
day centre - Shornells.
The
Hospice is a registered charity and has to raise over two
thirds of its income (over £2 million a year) from the
community with approximately one third being provided by Bexley
Care Trust and Greenwich Primary Care Teaching Trust.
