Garden and Grounds
This
wonderful facility is here for the enjoyment of all who come to
the Hospice, be they patients, carers, visitors, staff, volunteers
or friends.
The
garden covers an area of about 5 acres and the surrounding grounds
run to about 30 acres, so you can appreciate the scale of the task
in hand.
The
pictures below will give you some idea of potential there is to
develop the whole area, in a sympathetic way, including the provision
of more paths and walkways for wheelchair access.
There
is also the possibility of creating a nature trail, within the grounds,
which would be of enormous benefit not only to the Hospice but to
the community at large, especially the local schools.
If
you perhaps have a window box for a garden or more likely simply
pursuing your hobby, then helping the community can be very rewarding
in its own right.
