Counselling Services - Community Outreach Project

The Community Outreach Project worker networks with hospitals, community care teams, doctors and schools to give and receive information.  Referrals can be taken from these and other sources.

People who may not otherwise have benefited from the services of the Hospice can be given an opportunity to be supported and pointed in the right direction.

The project offers people the opportunity of being seen in their own homes.  Also as part of this service, a befriending scheme is available.  Please feel free to contact us.

The aim of this service is:-

  •    To allow people to be seen in their own home and be able to fit around other appointments.
  •    To help people be directed to the right services where they can access professional help.
  •    To give clients the freedom to say what they need in a safe and confidential environment
  •    To allow people free choice.  The patient's world shrinks when they become ill or become a carer so we strive to give them autonomy.
