In recognition of the dedicated support that volunteers offer to enhance Hospice services, the Hospice ensures that you are kept abreast of developments through the following channels of communication:

  • 2 annual 'Thank You' events - one around Christmas time and one in the summer linked to National Volunteers' Week
  • Presentation of long-service badges at 5, 10, 15 and 20 years' commitment
  • A quarterly volunteers' bulletin called "The Hospice Hailer"
  • A quarterly volunteers' forum for mutual support and to discuss any issues, training needs and ideas for improving services
  • Invitation to the GBCH Annual Meeting and updates on other Hospital events and developments

We are worth your time and effort.  We offer you the opportunity to become involved with us so that we can utilise your talents and skills. You will feel that you are making a real contribution.   So where can you help?
